Courtney & Nathan: A Love Forged in Play and Adventure

Sometimes, the most unexpected moments lead to life’s greatest adventures. For Courtney and Nathan, their love story began on a warm August evening in 2021, on the grassy fields of a pickup ultimate frisbee game. Amidst the spirited throws and laughter-filled catches, playful glances and easy conversation sparked a connection that neither of them could have predicted. What started as a casual game quickly became the beginning of a journey filled with love, joy, and boundless adventure.

Over the next 26 months, their story unfolded across the USA, weaving together cherished memories. From romantic strolls along the charm of King Street to magical evenings watching The Nutcracker and Wicked, their shared experiences deepened their bond. Together, they perfected the art of cozy evenings spent cooking dinner and brought passionate energy to the stands as they cheered for the Texas A&M football team.

Through it all, their love for ultimate frisbee remained a cornerstone of their relationship. Each week, they found themselves back on the field, playing the game that brought them together—this time in the shadow of the iconic Washington Monument. Their tradition of post-game Chick-fil-A runs became a joyful ritual, a simple reminder of the playful love they continue to share.

But their greatest adventure was still to come. In the fall of 2023, after running the Marine Corps Marathon side by side through the heart of their nation, Nathan had one more surprise. As they paused to capture a photo at the finish line, Courtney thought Nathan’s kneeling was just a playful pose for the camera. Little did she know, it was the moment her best friend and greatest teammate would ask her to be his forever. With joy in her heart and happy tears in her eyes, she said yes to a lifetime of adventures together.

Their wedding day was a reflection of everything they hold dear—love, tradition, and the joy of shared experiences. Surrounded by family and friends, Courtney and Nathan exchanged vows in a beautiful ceremony filled with heartfelt promises and the perfect touch of military tradition, complete with a sword arch that symbolized the strength and unity of their bond.

Courtney and Nathan’s playful, adventurous, and enduring love is truly a gift to witness. Their story is just beginning, and as husband and wife, they are set to write countless more chapters of laughter, adventure, and unwavering partnership.
